Mourning A Legend

A non-bird related posting.

It came as a sad note today when I found out of the passing of one of my favorite jazz pianist just one day shy of his 92nd birthday. Dave Brubeck was, an forever will be remembered as one of the greatest musician/composers in the world of music, and jazz in particular.  From the one who taught us to take five, is his signature piece, “Take Five”, played by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. From a 1964 show in Belgium is Dave Brubeck-Piano, Paul Desmond-Alto Sax, Eugene Wright- Bass, and Joe Morello-Drums.

This is what California Cool was all about. Enjoy!
